About me.

Hi, my name is Aidan I work as an Adventure Leader at Kingswood. And I love it, but my passion is Cinema. My earliest memory of going to the cinema is watching Spiderman 2 all the way back in 2004. I remember sitting in the middle-ish row towards the back and just been blown away by what I saw…A huge TV screen like nothing had seen before. It was mind-blowing. As I got older and watching countless films in both the cinema and at home I began to realise that movies were something special and were an Artform. Movies I loved as a kid were not great anymore as I remember them (Batman and Robin I’ll never forget those nipples) in terms of film making anyways they were great for a whole new reason which I will cover on this website at some point.

I started to analyse and dissect movies and research how they were made or how certain shots were created. The first movie I properly delved into was Shutter Island and it just blew my mind there were so many layers and details to the film that were not just easter eggs but they actually added to the film. And it gave this film incredible replayability as I always wondered if there was something I missed.

All my film knowledge is mostly self-taught and I know there is much more to learn so I started this blog so anyone else who is interested can get involved too. So I will have Reviews for every new film I see, also essays on films that are special to me.(even if the film is clearly terrible but nostalgia overrides opinion sometimes this happens). And also share ideas and scripts that I have written with friends. But hopefully, you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing about it.
